Fingerprint Tips

Tap the ink strip, then tap the finger several times (in different places) onto the paper, on a hard surface like a benchtop.

Avoid pressing too firmly, as this will cause smudges which will affect your print and therefore your engraving.

Avoid pressing the finger to a loose sheet of paper. The paper needs to be on a hard surface.

Avoid swiping the finger across the ink strip as the ink will fill the fingerprint lines, making it almost impossible to achieve a clear print. Tap the finger onto the ink strip.

We unfortunately cannot work with photos of fingers.

If the print supplied is not clear enough for engraving, a Complex Design Fee will be required due to the time it takes to turn smudges into lines.
Please purchase here if the print you have supplied is the best print available for you. This is totally okay and we understand sometimes better prints are just not doable.
Your production timeframe of 4-6 days will begin once this fee is ordered (6-10 days for solid gold).
